Our Philosophy

We believe a coffee cup should invite a pause.

Most of our cups are handleless by design — not as a statement, but as a choice. Without a handle, the cup asks you to slow down, to feel its weight, its warmth, and its balance in your hands. It brings you closer to the coffee inside it.

Coffee is already a break in the day. A small moment between tasks, thoughts, or conversations. The cup shouldn’t rush that moment — it should support it.

That’s why we focus on balance, proportion, and feel. Why the cup sits naturally in your hands. Why the glaze matters as much to touch as it does to look at.

Our collections are developed in collaboration with skilled workshops in Portugal, where ceramic expertise meets consistent production. This allows us to refine each form carefully — adjusting weight, thickness, and balance until it feels right.

We continue refining our cups through real use, shaped by feedback from home baristas and cafés pouring hundreds of cups a day. The result is ceramic coffee cups that feel considered, reliable, and right — not just once, but every day.

Ceramica de Meles is about enjoying coffee as it’s meant to be enjoyed: held, noticed, and taken one moment at a time.

The Founder

Ceramica de Meles was founded by Yuval at the age of 24.
A coffee and ceramic lover with a constant drive to improve, he noticed that most cups either ignored coffee entirely or felt right but were too fragile for everyday use. He set out to create ceramic coffee cups that balance feel, function, and durability — refined through use, feedback, and continuous iteration.
